Italian heritage hits the road

In mid-2019, the exposition Italy: The (In)visible Stories set off for a tour around the world, with Gosselin’s help. “The project ran into corona problems along the way. Fortunately, this didn’t get in the way of moving the art nor did it put a damper on the enthusiastic reception,” according to organizer Riccardo Anderi of Glocal Project.

Italy on tour

With stops in Italy, Armenia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria and Croatia, the exposition, Italy: The (In)visible Stories has already logged quite a journey. Gosselin Rome has a long history of working with Glocal Project Consulting, the exposition organizer.

Positive vibes

“Visitors have been really enthusiastic in all of the countries we have ‘moored’ in,” Riccardo Anderi of the Glocal Project says. “The expo has gotten a lot of attention, which obviously makes us very happy. Two locations had to be scrapped because of corona. In spite of everything, there has been so much positive energy; this encourages us to keep going.”

Local procedures and partners

Roberta at Gosselin’s office in Rome has extensive experience with art moving projects. She also helped ensure the “invisible stories” stayed on the right track. “A few of the works such as the installations demand a very careful handling process. Procedures and approvals from local authorities also proved to be a major challenge. We were able to offer helpful support in these areas too.”

Eye for art

The project went swimmingly, thanks in part to Gosselin’s solid presence in Southern Europe. According to Boryana Volchanova, curator for the expo in Sofia, “Gosselin really understands the art sector’s needs. The team is extremely professional and helpful and it’s a real pleasure to work with Gosselin on these projects. I can highly recommend the team’s punctual approach and high-quality service!”

Barbara Savelli, Branch Manager Gosselin Italy, expresses her gratitude for the professional collaboration of all parties involved: "It is always very motivating to see the success of a team effort."

Italian heritage hits the road

This exposition has been made possible thanks to the support of the Central Institute for Demo-ethno-anthropology, the Museum of Civilizations in Rome, UNESCO and the Italian embassies in Armenia, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Bulgaria.

Operations Moving

Gosselin Belgium receives FIDI Top Performer status

After the Italian and UK office receiving the FAIM 22 Top Performer status, it was Belgium’s turn for a FIDI audit. With Belgium not only having multiple offices in Deurne and Vilvoorde, but also their own warehouses and rolling stock, the audit was extensive but successful nevertheless.
International work experience

An international work experience

With Gosselin offices all over Europe, it’s almost impossible to know everybody. However, an international working experience can be the perfect way to get acquainted with colleagues from different countries. Roberta and Patrizio from the Italian office did just that, taking the opportunity to network and brainstorm work processes.
Road VS Rail transport

European Logistics goes Multi-modal!

Gosselin currently launched a new trial project combining the usual road transport with train groupage in Europe. It is the perfect combination between handling large volumes, less reloads, less damage risks, and focusing on sustainability at the same time.
