Gosselin Ukraine - 55 years of experience in 1 office

From their office in Kiev, a team of six employees serves a country that has a population four times that of Belgium and is nearly as large as France. “We can guarantee customers a safe, fast and carefree process, even for the most complex moving projects,” according to managing director Vlad Vasylenko.

Gosselin Mobility is also one of the trendsetting companies in the sector in Ukraine. “If you look at the number of moves we handle per year, we are definitely in the top three in Ukraine,” according to Vlad. “A large part of our portfolio consists of complex and delicate jobs. This is no coincidence; our team has a total of 55 years of experience and very specialized expertise.”

Worldwide network

Just like the other Gosselin branches, the Ukraine office has an intricate network at its disposal for arranging moves to every possible country. During the summer period, the Ukraine team’s focus is on families. Outside of this season, its main business involves corporate and diplomatic projects. “There are quite a few embassies and international organizations with offices in Ukraine,” Vlad continues, “and we are the exclusive provider for some of them.”

Kiev as a major junction

The team in Ukraine serves the entire country from the capital of Kiev, and this territory runs from the Black Sea to Belarus, and from Slovakia to Russia. The office is located at an expansive site with warehouses and a customs office. “It has good connections to the most important motorways and railway lines, and the airport is only twenty minutes from here,” Vlad explains. “We also have all the loading and unloading equipment we need, even for exceptional transport projects.”

Experienced team

The office is staffed by four employees: managing director Vlad, an operations manager, a customs  manager and a financial director. They work at the site together with a team manager, a regular truck driver and a list of reliable regular subcontractors. Vlad: “We have been part of Gosselin for 20 years now. This is a major advantage in our international sector. We can offer in-house and integrated services all over the world. Our customers don’t have to worry; we take care of everything from A to Z.”

International contacts

In recent years, the European Union signed various cooperation treaties with Ukraine. According to Vlad, the impact of these is slowly making its way into many aspects of life. “You no longer need a visa to travel between the EU and Ukraine, for example. This stimulates tourism and trade from Europe. It’s all been fairly slow so far, but maybe I’m just impatient. In our business, you are in contact with people all over the world, and this is one of the best parts of the job for me. Almost all of my contacts who have been living in Ukraine for a while have a positive view of our country. We are all building a stronger economy, step by step.”

Operations Moving

Gosselin Belgium receives FIDI Top Performer status

After the Italian and UK office receiving the FAIM 22 Top Performer status, it was Belgium’s turn for a FIDI audit. With Belgium not only having multiple offices in Deurne and Vilvoorde, but also their own warehouses and rolling stock, the audit was extensive but successful nevertheless.
International work experience

An international work experience

With Gosselin offices all over Europe, it’s almost impossible to know everybody. However, an international working experience can be the perfect way to get acquainted with colleagues from different countries. Roberta and Patrizio from the Italian office did just that, taking the opportunity to network and brainstorm work processes.
Road VS Rail transport

European Logistics goes Multi-modal!

Gosselin currently launched a new trial project combining the usual road transport with train groupage in Europe. It is the perfect combination between handling large volumes, less reloads, less damage risks, and focusing on sustainability at the same time.
