Bigger, better, more efficient the new facility in Brendola is a success!
After a long and extensive process of finding a new location, Gosselin Italy in Vicenza has finalized a purchase agreement that all parties involved agreed on. Now they can conclude their move to a bigger facility in Brendola. They also expanded their services by taking over all port handling from a third party and doing their own custom declarations in their new warehouse with bonded area.
The new office technically isn’t new as Gosselin took over the building from Atlas Copco, but the total surface does expand from 2.300m2 to 9.000m2. “We now have all our teams together in one space without it feeling cramped. This way support, military, and the commercial teams have been working together much more efficiently and we can handle more work”, Managing Director, Christophe Geurts, says. And even though they moved to a different town, there’s a highway which allows everybody to commute to work smoothly.
Outside there’s 27.000m2 of land where trucks are parked and containers stored, allowing for lots of room for operations without disturbing the neighbourhood and surrounding traffic. A bigger office, but also a broader service because with the additional space, Christophe’s team have been executing all port handling and custom declarations themselves. “We wanted to take that on for a while now, but simply didn’t have enough space to do so. Now we collect our containers from the different ports directly, bring them to our warehouse which also has a bonded area, and declare and distribute the goods ourselves.”
Pretty impressive when you know they did all that during peak season. They’ve now reached the final stage of their relocation and that’s registering all the existing entities to the new address in Brendola. It’s been a long process, but looking back at the past year, Christophe knows they made the best decision. “All thirty colleagues enjoy coming to the new building which has light and spacious offices that look out onto either mountains or the famous Romeo and Juliet castle.” The new location next to the busy A4 highway allows potential customers to spot the Gosselin logo from their car. And if that boosts business, there’s nothing to worry about. “We have room to expand”, Christophe laughs, “both for military and commercial shipments!”
Looking forward to the future!
