Brian named top student at FIDI EiM

Last week, Brian Nieuwold, Senior Pricing Specialist of the Groupage team, returned from Kuala Lumpur with more than a suitcase full of memories—he returned with new skills, a broader network, and the FIDI EiM Diploma, finishing the course as the Top Student of his session.

Representing Gosselin, Brian joined 11 other participants for the FIDI “Essentials in International Moving” seminar, a week-long deep dive into the operational and managerial foundations of international relocations. Hosted by Asian Tigers Malaysia. 

“Last week I had the opportunity to attend the FIDI EiM training in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The program combined classroom learning with field visits, including KLIA Airport and Port Klang, along with hands-on packing and loading training. It was a great learning experience and a wonderful week… This was a once-in-a-lifetime experience that I will not forget any time soon,” Brian reflects.

According to the trainers, Brian stood out from the very beginning. Entering the program with strong industry knowledge—especially in pricing—he demonstrated alertness, curiosity, and a willingness to participate actively. Brian performed exceptionally well, earning the EiM Diploma and the title of Top Student.

To celebrate this achievement his colleagues in Leusden surprised him with a special moment at the office. Brian has been invited to attend the next FIDI Conference in Osaka, with registration fees sponsored by FIDI, to represent Gosselin in Japan.

“A huge thank you to trainers Pauline Collins and Simone Percy for guiding us through the week, to Asian Tigers Malaysia for the hospitality and Gosselin for giving me the opportunity to be there,” Brian concludes.
