Bringing art to life across borders

When it comes to fine art logistics, every project is a unique blend of precision, creativity, and cultural diplomacy. Gosselin was entrusted with transporting valuable contemporary artworks from Tenerife to Oslo, showcasing the intricate planning and execution required for such high-stakes shipments.

The Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a public tender that Gosselin won, not only for our competitive pricing, but also for our proven ability to meet tight deadlines and provide tailored solutions. “One of the biggest challenges was the tight timeline. The museum spaces in Tenerife needed to be cleared quickly to meet rental deadlines. The Italian team coordinated with partners in Tenerife, Madrid, and Oslo to ensure a seamless transition,” explains Country Manager, Barbara Savelli.

Severe flooding in Valencia added another layer of complexity. Despite these challenges, Gosselin ensured smooth processes and transparent communication, thanks to a good collaboration with Alfa Mobility. Custom-made crates were designed to protect the artworks, and specific customs procedures were followed, including sealing the crates in Tenerife under the supervision of the consulate and unsealing them in Oslo upon delivery.

“Our experience was more than satisfactory in terms of the overall quality of service, timeliness, and punctuality. The team was very accurate, and the delivery service was carried out exactly as requested,” says Raffaella Giampaola, Director of the Italian Institute of Culture in Oslo where the artwork arrived more than a week before the exhibition’s opening.

About the exhibition

The Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ goal was to promote Italian culture abroad, and this exhibition played a key role in that mission.

We Love Science was born from the fusion of art and science. It is an exhibition where eight artists collaborated with eight research centers, engaging in a fascinating dialogue between art and science.

More Than a Move: A Friendship Built on Trust and a Love for Cats

The story begins in October 2024, when the customer arrived in Italy under a military contract and Neno was their designated move coordinator. They bonded over a love for cats and remained friends throughout their stay in Italy. When it was time to return home, two years later, Gary and Shannon immediately contacted Gosselin again.

Perfect timing and white gloves – another Gosselin fine art move handled with precision

Renoir, Degas, Signac, Pissarro, … It’s the names of the latest artist’s works that Gosselin moved for Christie’s, a world-renowned auction house. The four paintings were flown from the UK to Kazakhstan and were already the third assignment for the same customer.
