Gosselin moves embassy office of Argentina

Last summer, Gosselin handled a massive door-to-door move for the embassy of Argentina in Rome. The move amounted to over 100m3 of furniture and goods and required a minimal closure of the premises.

Daniele handled the move from start to finish, primarily overseeing the project and making sure nothing was left to chance. “I was on-site to actively coordinate the work and centralize all the information and needs. Having a single point of contact for all parties involved often reduces the possibility of any misunderstandings.”

The main challenge was to plan the move in such a way that the embassy’s operations weren’t disrupted too much. To ensure the continuity of service, Gosselin Italy worked with a double team that was simultaneously present at the new and old location. “We managed to reduce their down time to just a half day by drafting a plan that established a hierarchy among the different offices, keeping the most import ones active for as long as possible,” Daniele explains.

To avoid the risk of unforeseen events that could disrupt the embassy’s operation, they actively involved all employees in the organization of the move. The most important documents were moved by directly transporting the safe that contained them, without opening it, and under the supervision of embassy officials. For the relocation of the server, Gosselin relied on a specialized company. “It was definitely a team effort. But the whole operation ran smoothly thanks to transparent communication and feedback with all parties involved!”
