Verhuizingen Meys becomes part of the Gosselin Group
November 2021 - On October 26, 2021, Marc Smet (CEO of Gosselin Group) and Erik Meys (CEO of Verhuizingen Meys) reached an agreement in principle for the acquisition of Verhuizingen Meys and Meys Vastgoed based in Brasschaat by the Gosselin Group (Deurne). The employees and assets will be acquired by Gosselin and will fall under the Gosselin Group’s international moves division.

De werknemers en activa worden opgenomen bij Gosselin en komen onder de internationale verhuisafdeling van de Gosselin Group.

When he joined Gosselin Switzerland twenty-five years ago, the company was still called Packimpex. Markus was looking for a new challenge, but didn’t think the moving industry had enough work for him on the long run. Despite not knowing anything about moving, he decided to give it a try and applied for a sales function. Now, many years later, he’s part of a big family for one of the main providers for Europe and busier than ever!
Moving art can become a masterpiece
Artist Arne Quinze contacted Gosselin to move several large sculptures to the international exposition that is being held in Jebel Ali (Dubai). A total of six containers will be required for the move.
Cruising in old containers on a decommissioned cargo ship
The MS Attila is the first cruise ship to sail on the lakes in Switzerland. The former cargo ship was repurposed as a luxury hotel with the help of nine Gosselin Group storage containers.
FIDI FAIM re-certification huge success
Three more Gosselin offices have recently re-obtained their FIDI certification. FIDI is an organization whose membership is restricted to moving companies that have successfully completed a certification procedure. This results in a network of FIDI-certified agents. Seeing as how all three offices passed their recertification audit successfully, we asked branch managers Laurent (Switzerland), Barbara (Italy) and Viktor (Russia) about their experience with this remote process organized using Microsoft Teams.
