Gosselin Belgium receives FIDI Top Performer status

After the Italian and UK office receiving the FAIM 22 Top Performer status, it was Belgium’s turn for a FIDI audit. With Belgium not only having multiple offices in Deurne and Vilvoorde, but also their own warehouses and rolling stock, the audit was extensive but successful nevertheless.

Quality Manager Connie Reesink has a knack with FIDI audits by now. “The methodology to process files is the same for all offices, as are the divisional instructions. You develop a good rhythm after a while, but Belgium - together with Switzerland - are the only offices with branch affiliation so makes it more complex.”

Facilities offered their assistance collecting all maintenance records and making sure all the fire extinguishers were double-checked. The warehouse team, lead by Anja Brosthardt, gave everything an extra thorough cleaning while ensuring that all FIDI requirements were given extra attention.

All audited files were presented according to FAIM-requirements by Dennis Van Den Bussche, Pricing & Billing Manager. Jamie Herremans, Teamleader Dispatch, provided the auditors with a few freshly washed vehicles complete with valid fire extinguisher and first-aid kit and HR made sure to have an extensive report of all the received trainings at the ready. The whole audit was a team effort, and was passed with flying colors.

“The audit was finished sooner than expected because everything was up to standard,” Connie says contentedly. Benelux Manager, Madeline Van Der Rhee, is pleased as well. “I am very proud of our team in Belgium. In the departments Pricing, Sales, Customer Service, and Operations, we work passionately every day to deliver good quality and continuously strive for further optimization. The fact that this now results in a FIDI top performer score confirms that we are on the right track and is a great appreciation towards all the involved colleagues in Deurne and Vilvoorde.”

About the audit:

The audit itself is a thorough check of every aspect of the company, going from corporate responsibility to quality management, training, and a file check. The FAIM 22 standard uses a total of 1475 non-compliant values as measurement indicators. A company can only be a Top Performer when they score 0 non-compliant values on the audit day itself. New since 2023 are a mandatory financial risk assessment and additional requirements on sustainability and cybersecurity.

Road VS Rail transport

European Logistics goes Multi-modal!

Gosselin currently launched a new trial project combining the usual road transport with train groupage in Europe. It is the perfect combination between handling large volumes, less reloads, less damage risks, and focusing on sustainability at the same time.
