Moving within the company

When Lasha approached John to offer his resignation because he wanted to leave Georgia, they sat around the table to look for a solution. At Gosselin, we do whatever we can to offer possibilities and growth to our employees.

“Lasha has been Chief of Crew and Dispatch for twenty-three years now,” Regional Manager John Braeckeveldt explains. “Because he’s a valuable member of the Gosselin family, we asked whether he wanted to share his knowledge with a different office. That way, he’d have job security in a new country, and we wouldn’t lose his skills.”

CEO Marc Smet suggested introducing Lasha to Gosselin the Netherlands. He will stay there for a two-month-long training first. If everything goes well, he and his family will move to Rotterdam. “We’ll miss him in Tbilisi, but we’re grateful that Lasha is staying with the company thanks to Gosselin going above and beyond for its people.”

The Georgian crew went out to dinner to send Lasha off on his new adventure and to celebrate twenty-three years of service to be continued in the Netherlands!
