Gosselin: the moving company that always makes you feel at home

The Czech Consulate in Sydney reached out over 16,000 kilometers to request a quote for the relocation of the Consul General back to her home country again after five years in Australia. The Gosselin office in Czechia was more than happy to handle the full-container move and the client was delighted with her Czech move coordinator.

“It’s often the embassies that are charged with finding a good moving company to help diplomats relocate to their homes. Usually, they try to find a mover locally, but the Czech embassies know us well,” Petr Prochazka, Country Representative for Gosselin Czechia, explains. “They know we can offer a competitive price and high-quality service.”

For this move, the Czech Consulate in Sydney reached out more than 16,000 kilometers to request a quotation from Petr. They are required to submit three quotations to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Gosselin was ultimately the one to land the job. The biggest challenge at the point of origin were the very serious Covid-restrictions that are enforced in Australia, but the full container load got packed and delivered just in time for Christmas.

“Everything went well, the movers were really great and professional, and unloaded everything very fast. They helped me unpack the furniture. Thank you very much for the professional service and care with which you treated my cargo from the beginning. I appreciate your approach and cooperation,” the former Czech Consul General Hana Flanderova replied when asked how her move went.

“Our clients are often very happy to have a fellow countryman coordinating their move,” Petr adds. “It makes them feel connected to their home country.” When it comes to imports, Czech embassies and consulates often contact the Gosselin office in Czechia to arrange the move. In 2021 alone Petr handled 18 import moves, making the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs one of Gosselin Czechia’s most important accounts.
