Gosselin transports American orchestra’s instruments

Interstate, Gosselin’s trusted partner for moves in America, contacted Gosselin to arrange a move for the US Army Field Band. This touring musical organization of the United States Army performs more than 400 concerts a year all over the world. Gosselin UK made sure the band was able to perform at the 2022 Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo by delivering their instruments to the venue on time.

“Not only did we handle the transport, we also took care of the clearance and paperwork,” Mary Bamford from Gosselin UK says. “We then delivered the carnet to the army barracks with enough time to spare for them to be able to properly prepare for their performance.”

“We have had a great working relationship with Interstate for years,” according to Tim Noppen, Director of Government Logistics. “They’re one of our biggest customers in the military moves segment, so they know that Gosselin is a reliable partner. The musical instruments couldn’t experience delays at customs; otherwise the musicians would get stuck empty-handed on stage.”

“These activities fit perfectly within the event logistics branch of our industrial projects team, and we have ambitions to further expand this niche branch,” Ronny Michiels of Gosselin Logistics/Events adds. Simultaneously with its work for the US Field Army, Gosselin also moved the instruments for the oldest orchestra in the world “The President’s Own,” thanks to yet another request from Interstate.
