Mission impossible? Not for Gosselin!

When the Belgian office needed to transport over 140 cubic meters of brand-new designer furniture for Breakwater to Lake Como, they reached out to the Italian team to ensure the safe delivery. This time-sensitive assignment was destined for a villa still under construction, presenting numerous challenges. However, through effective teamwork and professionalism, the task was executed flawlessly.

Lake Como, Italy, is renowned for its picturesque beauty, but its narrow roads posed a significant obstacle. Just as the Italian team was preparing to begin the delivery, the road leading to the villa underwent a lengthy construction period. Nevertheless, the furniture had to be delivered before the arrival of the first guests. After careful consideration, the decision was made to transport the furniture via a pontoon on the water," explains Country Manager Barbara Savelli. This extended the duration of the move and necessitated additional planning, as the boat was not available for the entire day.

"Extensive preparation was required for this intricate move," adds Move Coordinator Andrea Cardelli. "The villa had three levels, and all the furniture was pre-labeled at the facility of interior design shop Top Interieur, allowing us to efficiently hoist it to the correct floor using a crane. This preparation took place in our Milano warehouse, enabling us to complete one floor per day." Given the ongoing construction at the villa, advanced security measures were taken to ensure the safety of the crews, but everything proceeded smoothly.

Barbara and Andrea expressed their satisfaction with the results, stating, "While we have extensive experience in handling moves, specialized projects like this one are truly enjoyable. Particularly because our collaboration with the Belgian office proceeded seamlessly. Dennis and Jill were highly responsive, even amidst the challenges of the peak season." The Belgian team also expressed their contentment, with Dennis and Jill concluding, "It was a successful joint effort involving three parties in two different countries, and our customer is more than pleased."
